As an Optician at Triangle Family Eye Care your job responsibilities will include supporting your team, providing exceptional patient care, assisting patients in making the proper frame, lens, and lens option selections based on doctor's recommendations and specific patient needs, communicating with frame representatives and lens lab to ensure all orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner, and maintaining a current and fashion forward frame inventory Qualifications : A positive attitude and a passion for eye care are essential to providing the ultimate patient experience Job Details : Greet all patients in a professional and friendly manner. Interpret eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions written by our optometrists or referring doctors. Educate patients on their individual insurance coverage and options. Strong sense of fashion and current trends to assist patients with selection of eyewear that compliments their style and personality. Understands how the patient uses their eyes on a daily basis to assist them in selecting the best lenses for their visual needs. Maintains efficient flow of the lab. Placing orders, checking orders, edging jobs (when / if needed) and following up on any delays. Possess the ability to gather and analyze information, work in a group solving situations and maintain reason when dealing with a sensitive situation or difficult patient.
