Temp to Perm LPN opening in Boston, Mass.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a temp to perm position at a Urologic practice in Boston, MA. The role will involve supporting the clinical team in various outpatient tasks, including assisting with exams, procedures, and performing urology-specific tests. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position from 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM.
Key Responsibilities :
Urology Experience : Assist with patient care specific to urology, including performing urology-related procedures and tests.
Bladder Scans : Conduct bladder scans to assess patients' urinary retention and other related conditions.
Catheterization : Perform catheterization as needed for patients with specific urological needs.
Uroflow : Administer and interpret uroflow tests to evaluate urinary function.
Urine Analysis : Collect and analyze urine samples to help diagnose urological conditions.
Triage / Phone Support : Handle phone triage, providing initial patient assessments and directing them to appropriate care.
Patient Assistance : Assist with exams and procedures, providing care and comfort to patients throughout their visits.
Outpatient Testing : Support the administration and evaluation of outpatient testing procedures in the practice.
Required Qualifications :
Experience : Previous experience in a urology practice or related healthcare field is required.
Skills : Proficient in performing bladder scans, catheterization, uroflow, and urine analysis.
Licensing : Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in patient interaction and phone triage.
Adaptability : Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience assisting with urological exams and procedures.
Previous work experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in urology or similar specialties.
