Job Title : Grinder Operator
Job Description
As a Grinder Operator, you will be responsible for identifying surface defects on forged parts through detailed surface inspection. You will remove these defects using powered hand grinders, cutting burrs, polishers, and cut-off wheels. It is crucial to maintain the integrity of the forged parts by effectively using calipers and tape measures, and by removing flash extensions. Blending in removed cracks is essential to prevent void spaces. A commitment to cleanliness and safety in the work area is mandatory, as well as active participation in a unified team effort. Compliance with all company procedures and safety requirements is expected, along with performing any reasonable duties assigned by your supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Identify and inspect surface defects on forged parts.
- Remove surface defects using powered hand grinders, cutting burrs, polishers, and cut-off wheels.
- Use calipers and tape measures effectively to maintain part integrity.
- Remove flash extensions and ensure no void spaces are created during crack removal.
- Keep the work area clean and safe at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain compliance with all company procedures and safety requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate as part of a unified team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting where employees may work in dirty and dusty conditions. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
