We are currently seeking a full-time Audio Visual Lighting Technician II (L2) to work at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO.

We will consider applicants with experience in Event Technology, and who wish to pursue a career in lighting in a live events environment, working with stage lighting fixtures, dimming, and console programming.

The compensation for this Audio Visual Lighting Technician II position is between $25.00-$27.00 depending on experience.

Summary of essential job functions
Shows & Events:
• Lighting fixture setup and focus, Electrical and dimmer controls, Lighting Console programming and operation.
• Rigging safety knowledge for lighting equipment
• Strong computer skills - CAD or Vectorworks a plus
• General Audio, Lighting, Rigging, Décor, Staging abilities & knowledge
• Pull Equipment, Load In, Set up, Operate, Take Down, Load Out & Shop duties
• Warehouse & Equipment Responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned

Other Qualifications:
• Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills proven through demonstrated ability to interact well with clients, both internal and external.
• Maintain a professional image in compliance with the company's appearance/dress code.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible and short-notice work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

The ideal candidate:
• Will have experience in the Event Technology field working in a hotel/convention center environment.
• Demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in live events, through relevant work or volunteer experience, or education in an Event Technology field.
• Must have basic knowledge of live event stage lighting and the ability to learn and master new equipment and systems.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, be well organized, have a professional demeanor, and be efficient in the use of time management.
