Job Description
Consultant Engineering, Inc. (CEI) is an Arizona owned and operated professional engineering firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona with additional offices in Tucson and Gilbert, Arizona. As one of the Southwest's largest construction management firms, we also provide professional right of way (appraisals, acquisition and relocation services) and land surveying services. Serves as a project engineer performing a variety of engineering duties in the areas of highway and / or bridge construction; may act as supervisor for lower level staff assigned to the work unit. Duty post assignments are project specific, and could be located throughout the State of Arizona.
Job Requirements
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Reading and understanding blueprints, sketches and schematics of electrical and electronic components and circuits
- Understanding and applying and national and local electrical codes and safety practices
- Using common and specialized tools, equipment and materials
- Proper use, operation, and maintenance of assigned equipment
- Operating a variety of office equipment including a calculator
- Use of computer programs applicable within the work unit (required assignment-specific programs are listed in the typical training and certification and minimum requirements sections below)
- Organizing and prioritizing work assignments
- Timely and accurate completion of work assignments
- Maintaining adequate documentation of all assigned activities
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Interpersonal relations and the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
