Transportation Specialist

As a Transportation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing a world-class logistics strategy and design, ensuring that freight is delivered swiftly, accurately, and cost-effectively. Your responsibilities will include high-level strategy development and implementation, with a strong focus on problem-solving, mathematics, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities include :

  • Identify and resolve performance score discrepancies for the Transportation Services network carrier base.
  • Partner with various teams to drive process improvements, enhance service quality, and boost carrier performance and growth.
  • Collaborate on the development and delivery of key programs, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to support business decisions across customer-facing programs.
  • Extract and analyze data from numerous databases using tools such as Excel, QuickSight, Hubble, SQL, and other data management systems.

Essential Skills :

  • 1-3 years of experience in account management, transportation, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level, including pivot tables, charts, and data cleansing.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience managing large data sets to drive performance and process improvements.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation.
  • 1+ years of management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Experience demonstrating ownership, delivering results, and a bias for action.
  • Work Environment :

    This role requires working 100% onsite with a shift schedule from Wednesday-Saturday (4x10 schedule). The environment offers opportunities to learn and grow within the transportation teams, providing a great entry-level corporate role.

    Job Type & Location :

    This is a contract position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following :
