About the Company - Fain Anderson VanDerhoef Rosendahl O'Halloran Spillane PLLC (FAVROS|LAW), a leading Puget Sound litigation firm with offices in Seattle and Tacoma, is seeking a driven associate attorney to join our Tacoma office. Excellent candidates will have three or more years of experience in civil litigation and / or insurance defense, along with strong writing and oral advocacy skills, practical litigation proficiency, and a passion for representing clients in litigated matters.
FAVROS specializes in civil trial representation for a wide range of clients facing complex litigation, including the defense of personal injury and wrongful death claims brought against businesses, physicians, hospitals, and healthcare providers. Additionally, our firm handles a diverse range of civil litigation matters, spanning from employment law and general liability defense to commercial litigation.
We are seeking attorneys aspiring to be trial lawyers. Ideal candidates will be interested in active and immediate participation in all facets of civil litigation, including client interaction, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial. As Washington state's premier medical malpractice and general liability defense firm, our partners are regularly involved in courtroom trials, with an unparalleled track record of success.

Required Skills
- Law degree from an accredited law school and 3+ years of litigation experience.
- Active license to practice law in Washington and a member in good standing of the Washington Bar.
- Demonstrated exceptional knowledge of civil procedure along with evidence and trial strategy.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated strong software skills including competency in Word, Outlook, and Lexis.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills with clients, experts, and colleagues, within a law firm environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, follow-up and project management skills.
- Ability to integrate into a cohesive team environment.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work with remote team members and utilize strategies such as MS Teams, email and phone to maintain reliable and constant communication.
- Must be able to maintain exceptional attendance and punctuality.
We offer highly competitive base salary ranging from $110,000-145,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package including potential for annual bonus, health and dental benefits, parking or commuter benefits, paid time off, and 11 paid holidays per year. After one year of employment, employees are eligible for our 401(k) plan with a firm contribution of 7% of salary. A hybrid work environment allowing for flexibility in remote and in-office work arrangements, based on needs of the firm.
