About the Company : We are representing a prestigious and well-regarded regional law firm seeking a skilled Employment Litigation Attorney to join their dedicated team. This firm is known for its commitment to fostering career growth, promoting a collaborative work environment, and offering a competitive compensation package. The minimum billable hours target for this position is approximately 1700 hours annually.
About the Role : The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of hands-on experience in employment litigation and will be comfortable managing cases independently. This position involves a wide array of litigation matters including, but not limited to, FEHA and Title VII defenses, wage and hour disputes, class action claims, PAGA actions, trade secret protection, and unfair competition issues. Responsibilities include representing clients in court, arbitration, and before administrative agencies.
Responsibilities :
- Independently manage employment litigation cases from inception through resolution.
- Defend against claims under FEHA, Title VII, and related common law principles.
- Handle class action lawsuits and PAGA claims with proficiency.
- Represent employers in various legal forums including court, arbitration, and administrative agencies.
- Take and defend depositions, and articulate arguments in court motions.
- Draft comprehensive motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
- Seek out and pursue business development opportunities.
- Conduct training sessions and seminars for clients to enhance their understanding of employment law.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates to cultivate their professional growth.
Qualifications :
Pay Range and Compensation Package : This role offers an attractive base salary range of approximately $175,000-$225,000 along with additional incentive opportunities.
