Job descriptionHigh school diploma or GED Three years of commercial locksmith experience Completion of an industry-recognized locksmith apprenticeship program may substitute for up to two years of the experience requirement Must complete a Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) and MCSO background investigation and TOC certification to access County detention facilities Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire Experience as a locksmith in a correctional facility Four years of experience as a journey-level commercial locksmith Experience with Maximo or related project management software products Maintain the installation and repair of door locking hardware and closures, electronic door systems, door frames, hinges, doors, panic hardware, mortise locks, and ADA hardware Perform preventative maintenance of all mechanical and electronic-based access control hardware and equipment Repair and install different types of detention-locking security hardware Create and maintain master keying systems for detention and commercial applications (set-up and re-keying, duplication, and cut-to-code) Respond to repair and service calls during and after work hours Operate computers and mobile devices for time management, inventory, work assignments, and other related functions Other job duties as assigned Exerting 50 - 100 pounds occasionally, 10 - 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 - 20 pounds constantly Incumbent may be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness / humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and vibration Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel The work will occur in an office and field environment.
