Description
SAIC is seeking a Logistics Team Manager to support a future program in North Charleston, SC . The Logistics Manager will perform the duties below and manage a team of 5-10 logistics staff for the USMC Installation Counter Small Unmanned Aerial System Support (ICSUAS) program.
USMC Installation Counter small Unmanned Aircraft System (I-CsUAS) will support PM-GBAD to procure the design, installation, and long-term sustainment services to fully support Installation-Counter small Unmanned Aircraft System (I-CsUAS). This includes the integration, delivery, and sustainment of mission optimized I-CsUAS solutions to meet the evolving technology and operational requirements of small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) identification and response capabilities. Work is performed on site in North Charleston, SC.
This opportunity is contingent upon award in March / April 2025.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Overall responsible for daily execution and leadership across multiple Logistics functional areas including but not limited to, Procurement, Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Management.
- The Logistics Manager will be responsible for lifecycle support of the I-CsUAS, the manger's team will include a help desk lead, a warehouse technician, a field services representative (FSR) lead, a configuration management specialist, item unique identification (IUID) specialist, and a training lead.
- Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
- Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
- Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
- Plan, schedule and manage efficient movement, receiving, storage and recording of materials from points of origin through assembly to installation at government sites. in both Government and Corporate spaces.
- Works with vendors and original equipment manufacturers to maintain established relationships and establish new ones. Keeping the Program Management team aware of any disruptions or gains in efficiencies and technologies that may impact our product.
- Works with Field Services Representatives ensure logistics and maintenance requirements are being met.
