Job Title : Terminal Manager
Job Description
The Terminal Manager will oversee vehicle storage and transportation operations. This role involves managing the efficient handling, scheduling, and inventory of vehicles while ensuring that any vehicle damages are properly documented and resolved. Additionally, the Terminal Manager will engage in hands-on management with hourly workers.
Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day vehicle storage, parking logistics, and transportation processes, ensuring timely and efficient movement of vehicles.
Coordinate the scheduling of vehicle arrivals, storage, and dispatch to maximize terminal efficiency and minimize delays.
Ensure proper inventory of vehicles, maintaining accurate records of arrivals, departures, and storage locations.
Lead, train, and monitor terminal staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
Assign tasks and provide guidance to the team to optimize workflow and maintain smooth operations.
Manage and schedule vehicle transportation, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient use of available space.
Communicate with clients, drivers, and vendors to coordinate pick-up, delivery, and storage requirements.
Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance.
Ensure that all vehicles, equipment, and facilities meet industry safety standards.
Maintain communication with clients, dealers, and transportation providers to resolve inquiries or issues related to vehicle storage and transportation.
Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure that all storage and transport equipment is well-maintained and operating efficiently.
Perform routine checks on terminal facilities, ensuring a safe environment for both vehicles and personnel.
Essential Skills
Experience in supervision and production management.
Strong skills in production supervision and safety.
Proven ability in people management.
Expertise in inventory management and control.
Proficiency in vendor relations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficient with MS Office.
Ability to learn the Proact inventory system and other web-based processes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00 / hr.
