Job description
A company is looking for a Loss Mitigation Underwriter I.
Key Responsibilities
Submit loan modification workups for various investor workout options
Communicate with customers and stakeholders to negotiate short sale settlements and advise on loss mitigation decisions
Manage account portfolios to ensure compliance with banking policies and investor guidelines
Required Qualifications
A combined 3 years of higher education and / or experience, including at least 1 year in collections or underwriting
Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
Experience in customer service
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally over the phone
Preferred : Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification / experience
