The Infection Prevention Manager will lead initiatives embedded within a collaborative Quality Department that supports a designated Stroke Center, a high-performing Cardiac Center, and a strong orthopedics program. The Infection Prevention Manager will align infection control practices across neuro, cardiac, surgical, and musculoskeletal service lines, advancing evidence-based bundles, perioperative asepsis, and post-acute transitions to reduce HAIs and improve patient safety metrics.
The Infection Prevention Manager will report to the Director of Quality and Patient Safety while partnering closely with friendly nurses and a diverse team of physicians, infection preventionists, data analysts, microbiology, environmental services, sterile processing, and facilities. The Infection Prevention Manager will lead surveillance and rounding, outbreak investigations, water safety and construction risk assessments, device-associated infection prevention (CLABSI, CAUTI, VAE), hand hygiene performance, regulatory readiness (CMS, TJC, OSHA), NHSN reporting, policy development, staff education, and continuous improvement projects that drive measurable results.
