As a Portfolio Analytics Strategy Specialist within PNC's Balance Sheet Analytics & Modeling Group, you will be based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Cleveland, Ohio, Tyson's Corner, VA, Raleigh, NC, Wilmington, DE, or NYC, NY.

This position will be responsible for understanding the business needs around model execution and delivering analytical support for Loss Forecasting activities for CCAR / DFAST regulatory compliance and the new CECL accounting regulations including the following key activities.

  • Leverages business / product expertise to rigorously analyze large datasets and communicate conclusions.
  • Synthesizes analytical results and develops, recommends, and implements business strategies that improve

lending decisions, assist in managing risk, increase revenues, reduce exposure to losses, meet business goals,

and improve performance.

  • Establishes baselines for strategies and tracks actual performance to expectations.
  • Applies predictive models, third party data, and other tools to develop and execute appropriate segmentation
  • and targeting for acquisition and portfolio strategies to provide insight into portfolio risk.

  • Manages engagements with internal and external information suppliers ensuring solution is fit for purpose while
  • maintaining appropriate governance and oversight.

  • Works with business, credit, data, and model development partners to design, develop, and monitor test
  • designs and analytical reporting to track and enhance strategies.

  • Designs / enhances standard reporting suites for regular product / portfolio reviews.
  • Collaborates with the line of business, Finance, and Risk partners to assess and enhance operational processes related to Loss Forecasting activities for CCAR / DFAST and CECL.
  • Successful candidate should have the following :

  • BA / BS in STEM or Finance, Business or a related field. MBA or Masters is a plus.
  • 5 years of financial modeling and business analytics related experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability delivering key insights to management and non-technical personnel
  • Experience using quantitative techniques to analyze and support financial strategy development
  • Ability to use analytics and translate quantitative results into meaningful and actionable recommendations
  • Experience working with quantitative or financial models is a plus
  • Ability to analyze technical formation and drawing meaningful insights using analytical techniques
  • Programming skills and experience with data analysis such as Python, R or SAS is a plus.
  • Strong PowerPoint presentations and data visualization skills
  • Database management skills such as writing complex SQL queries is a plus.
  • Experience in the Financial services industry and experience with consumer or commercial lending is a plus.

    Regulatory Environment - Financial Services – Knowledge of and ability to help an organization adapt to applicable federal, state, local, and company-specific regulations, policies, and guidelines affecting business practices.

    Risk Management Banking – Knowledge of and ability to use tools, regulations, and business practices to assess and control an organization's exposure to risk.

    Work Experience

    Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
