Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation . Must own relevant tools, including : Must have full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) : Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environmental conditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. AVIXA CTS Certification (Increases pay rate). Experience with rack wiring, control system integration, or networking . Overtime : Available as needed
Travel : Minimal out-of-town work required
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician specializing in commercial audiovisual installations . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction site work, AV equipment installation, and cable management . This position requires hands-on experience with installing speakers, projectors, cabling, and terminations . Candidates should be comfortable working at heights, operating lifts, and using professional-grade tools.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install and configure AV equipment such as speakers, projectors, and displays in commercial environments.
- Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (CAT6A, speaker wire, coax, fiber, etc.).
- Perform soldering, crimping, and connector terminations as required.
- Operate and work from scissor lifts, boom lifts, and ladders safely.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project documentation .
- Conduct troubleshooting and testing of installed AV systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following job site safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet installation deadlines.
Qualifications & Requirements :
Crimpers, wire strippers, drills, wrenches, basic pair testers / toners.
Safety vest, hard hat, hard-toe boots, safety glasses.
