Job Description

NVE Inc. is seeking a maintenance electrician in support of an operations and maintenance (O&M) covering two GSA facilities in the Kansas City Missouri area. The maintenance electrician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs and efficient operation of all electrical systems and other maintenance tasks that may be assigned. Must be able to pass background check.

The electrician must have a Journeyman license and shall have at least four (4) years of experience at the journeyman level obtained within the past seven (7) years in the field of inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, operating and performing preventive maintenance on complex electrical power distribution systems and be familiar with the operation of complex UPS / SUPS and associated generators and paralleling switchgear.

Job Description

Performs complex preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs of electrical equipment, located in the interior and exterior of buildings. Working under general direction, monitors building system operations and performance. Has critical, specialized knowledge of data center operations. Candidate must have the following :

• Thorough understanding of ARC Flash, NFPA 70E & Proper PPE.
• Experience with low voltage switchgear, backup generators, UPS & batteries, static transfer switches, automatic transfer switches, and racking out electronic breakers.
• Skilled in electrical troubleshooting and repairs including electrical controls schemes.
• Experience in creating SOP's, Mop's, and EOP's.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains the professional appearances of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
