Job descriptionCoordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to define project scope and deliverables. Ensure all installations comply with NEC, EIA / TIA, BICSI, and local building codes. Team Leadership : Assign daily tasks, conduct quality checks, and ensure adherence to safety procedures. Train team members on installation techniques, testing procedures, and industry best practices. Technical Oversight : Manage labeling, testing, and documentation for all installed systems. Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize cabling systems as needed. Quality & Compliance : Enforce adherence to safety standards (OSHA) and company quality control procedures. Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and test equipment. Client Communication : Provide progress reports, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction. Education : Experience : 2+ years in a supervisory or project management role. Certifications (Preferred) : OSHA 30 Safety Certification Manufacturer certifications (Panduit, CommScope, Corning, etc.) Skills : Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Title : Cabling Manager (Low Voltage)
Position Summary
The Cabling Manager (Low Voltage) oversees the design, installation, and maintenance of structured cabling systems that support voice, data, video, and security technologies. This role ensures all low-voltage cabling projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and client specifications. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with leadership and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management :
Plan, schedule, and manage multiple low-voltage cabling projects from initiation to completion.
Supervise and mentor cabling technicians and subcontractors.
Oversee installation of copper and fiber optic cabling, patch panels, racks, and related infrastructure.
Conduct site surveys and ensure project documentation accuracy.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in structured cabling, telecommunications, or low-voltage systems.
BICSI Technician or RCDD Certification
Strong understanding of structured cabling design, installation, and testing.
