Job descriptionServant Leadership directs all aspects of decision making. Serve as the Charge Nurse in the absence of the Executive Director and Director of Health & Wellness. Contributes to all aspects of medication management, including but not limited to; orders, administration, storage, documentation and as mandated by the State Regulations and Guidelines as well as Company policy and procedure. Assures resident rooms and common areas are always clean and safe. Assure that all care partners and medication assistants are familiar with the residents' individual conditions and are trained to provide the resident services in an effective, professional, and sensitive manner. Assist the residents with their self-medication or administration of medications. Responsible for limited nursing license daily recommendations and documentation (if applicable). Implements plans of care recommended by the Resident Wellness Director and change in condition plans. Provides accurate and timely documentation of all care provided to residents. Complete resident charting in the electronic health record and assists in completion of assessments as scheduled or with change in condition. Completes accident and incident reports as required. Maintains positive relationships with residents, family members and responsible parties. Be prepared for and manage emergency situations including disasters, fire, and other emergencies. Ensures adequate and appropriately trained care partners and medication assistants are available for each shift as scheduled, within company and state guidelines. Two (2) years' experience as Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse required. Experience working in a senior Living environment preferred. Basic First Aid and CPR certification. Must successfully complete all company specified training programs. Ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidays. Strong organizational skills. Ability to communicate and present information effectively with wellness team members, leadership team, residents, family members, vendor partners, referral sources and outside contacts. Demonstrate active listening skills. Professional, clean and neat attire according to community dress code policy. Able to demonstrate a high level of service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction prioritizing customer needs. Able to make independent decisions. Able to communicate with others in a warm and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibility and rapport. Able to work cooperatively with a group of people to achieve goals and objectives. Exhibits integrity, trustworthiness and fosters an ethical work environment; prevents inappropriate behavior by coworkers; gives proper credit to others. Able to keep an open mind, be tolerant, respectful and accepting of new information. Adapts to varying customer needs; performs a variety of tasks with ease, and shifts focus quickly as demands change.
