Job description
Orthopaedic Associates looking for an LPN as a liaison between patients and physicians for a busy orthopaedic practice. LPN will relay important information about care plans and treatment options to patients under the supervision of the providers and reviewing charts for additional details. This is a desk position not direct care to patients unless patients are needing assistance in our office. Experience with EMR preferred Excellent customer service skills.
Hours : Monday through Friday. No call, nights or weekends.
Requirements :
Adhere to Florida Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (E-FORCSE).
Possesses strong initiative to get daily work finished and processed.
Has ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
Maintains scheduled attendance.
Versatile and willing to coordinate with and participate in, when necessary, all other aspects of the Office.
Participates in the Quality Improvement process and activities including the areas of Safety, Medical Records Maintenance, Patient Satisfaction, Physician Satisfaction, and OSHA Compliance.
Gets along with the Administrator, patients and peers. Is courteous, understanding and sympathetic toward patients, physicians and others.
HIPPA : Must keep information confidential.
Ability to work independently with others at the desk.
Demonstrates initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability and flexibility.
Relationship with Home Health and other entities that we refer patients too.
Filling out paperwork such as Disability, FMLA, Aflac, etc.
Qualifications :
Graduate of Practical Nursing program is required.
Current License as an LPN in the State of Florida. BLS through American Heart Association required.
Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids.
Proficient with Computer skills with Word and Excel.; strong telephone communications.
