Duties Include :

Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants; Perform   necessary nursing duties; Perform administrative duties such as charting   and completing medical forms and reports; Receive physicians’ orders;   Order medications, supplies, and equipment as needed; Prepare and   administer medications as necessary; Notify charge nurse of all drug and   narcotic   discrepancies;   Ensure   the   accuracy   of   narcotics   records   for   shift;   Inform charge nurse of staffing needs; Responsible for comprehensive   nursing   care.
