Sams Automotive LLC, a Valvoline Express Care operator, is hiring a Lube Technician! Our technicians act as trusted maintenance experts to ensure customers’ safety, thoroughly checking over customers’ vehicles and presenting what they find. And, providing the best preventive maintenance services for our guests means you will not only get to work with your hands, but also with people.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
• Inspect vehicles for any signs of damage or wear and inform customers of any potential issues or needed repairs.
• Efficiently and accurately perform lubrication services, ensuring proper use of tools, equipment, and techniques.
• Keep detailed records of all services performed, including parts used and any additional recommendations made to customers.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle issues, as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer questions and concerns in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in automotive technology, attending training sessions as required.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for both staff and customers.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Lube Technician in an automotive service environment.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle lubrication systems, including oil types, filters, and fluid specifications.
• Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools commonly used in automotive maintenance.
• Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic equipment and ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and guidelines accurately.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
