Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator 1 to join a growing operations team supporting highly automated manufacturing processes. This position is ideal for candidates with strong foundational machine operations skills who enjoy setting up, running, and monitoring advanced manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.



The ideal candidate will have experience following detailed work instructions, managing peripheral hardware setup, and conducting inline quality inspections while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational reliability.



Key Responsibilities

  • Setup & Operation: Review production schedules, process procedures, and specifications for the sequential start-up, operation, and control of automated equipment and peripheral hardware.

  • Component Loading: Perform equipment setup functions including loading electronic components, raw cards, feeders, fixtures, stencils, and required process chemicals.

  • Process Monitoring: Monitor automated equipment operation and initiate necessary adjustments to ensure machinery runs strictly within established control limits.

  • Material Tracking: Monitor and manage the shelf-life usage of perishable chemicals, moisture-sensitive parts, and raw card assemblies.

  • Quality Inspection: Inspect production quality levels, execute manual equipment adjustments if workmanship drops below specifications, and initiate required rework or repair activities.

  • Data & Maintenance: Record vital data required for statistical process control or inventory management. Perform basic preventive maintenance on machinery at specified intervals.

  • Shutdown & Cleaning: Perform structured sequential equipment shutdowns, including the thorough cleaning of automated machinery and peripheral hardware.

  • Team Safety: Promote a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and maintaining caution around moving mechanical parts.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is preferred.

  • Minimum of 6–12 months of industrial machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Basic manufacturing line knowledge with the ability to read and comprehend moderately complex instructions.

  • Experience utilizing assembly and tracking tools such as automatic component insertion equipment, surface mount insertion machinery, wave soldering, or data entry software.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use basic measuring tools, follow structural schematics, and handle small electronic components.

  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) utilizing weight and distance measurements.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but routine written or oral instructions.

  • Strong communication skills with a team-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively under close supervision.
