A-1 Jays Machining, Inc. is looking to hire a full time Estimator that specializes in producing quotes in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will have an expansive knowledge of quoting parts for : 3 axis, 5 axis CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Wire EDM, Lapping, Sheetmetal, and Grinding. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist would make an ideal candidate for this position.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing required documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the quote
- Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
- Managing bids from vendors and contractors
- Using bid data to prepare a detailed quote
