Job Summary :
The Mail Production Operator runs and maintains high-speed mail processing machines to meet deadlines. The key tasks include setting up and operating equipment, fixing minor issues, sorting mail, checking quality, and keeping records.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Operate mail production equipment, including inserters, sorting, and postage meters.
- Set up machines and perform routine maintenance or minor repairs.
- Sort and process mail by size, type, or destination following USPS regulations.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of outgoing mail through regular checks.
- Load machines with materials (paper, ink, trays, etc.) and assist with manual fulfillment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of mail volumes and production activity.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
- Complete all other responsibilities and assignments as required to successfully achieve the goals and objectives of this position.
