The construction of fairlife's manufacturing facility in Webster, NY is underway. This state-of-the-art, 750k sq ft, greenfield plant is expected to be operational in late 2025 and will lay the foundation for fairlife's next phase of growth as the leading dairy nutrition provider. While coupling the industry's latest technologies and fairlife's operational excellence to build this world-class facility, fairlife plans to hire 250 new employees and bring in approximately 5 million lbs. of milk a day, with room to grow over the coming years.

job purpose : The Processing Automation Engineer will be responsible for leading the technical execution and support of all aseptic processing technology, providing support on electrical distribution systems, controls upgrades, start-up & commissioning of equipment, automation documentation, and data collection. They will manage, coordinate, and oversee process technology improvements, troubleshoot controls, and engineer design solutions to complex problems. This individual will provide day-to-day technical support on process control systems and process control related tasks.

responsibilities :

• Manage strategic, technical projects and tasks in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Support the implementation of new projects by configuring control modules, batch programs, and HMI graphics
• Continuously improve process control systems through Advanced Process Control, Alarm Management, and Operator Interface Optimization
• Responsible for integration of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servo Drives, and process controls
• Responsible for training of end users on the operations of newly installed or modified process control systems
• Responsible for the standardization of control systems and control logic designs, documentation of operation procedures and as-built drawings and logic
• Serve as plant liaison for new system start up and commissioning by all outside controls contractors and system integrators to ensure proper transfer of documented PLC program changes and adequate training on the installation / changes that have been completed
• Develop, troubleshoot, Improve and Maintain automation documentation (schematics, functional descriptions, PLC programs, SCADAs, etc.)
• Processing Automation troubleshooting
• Create, edit and document Processing plants and Filler systems recipes
• Manage Automation improvement projects
• Mentor / train Instrumentation & Controls Technicians
• Other duties / tasks may be assigned

Base pay range : $105,000—$115,000 USD
