4x10's, varied shifts, and rotating days of the week. Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
Job Description
The Sterile Instrument Technician will process and prepare multi-specialty and general surgery instrumentation. This essential role supports the Surgical Services Department and other clinical departments within the healthcare network by ensuring quality sterile trays, surgical instruments, packs, and medical supplies. The technician will also clean patient equipment on a 24-hour, 7-day basis.
Responsibilities
- Process and prepare surgical instrumentation and equipment for use in surgeries.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of all instruments and trays.
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance standards related to sterilization and infection control.
- Assist operating room personnel with instrumentation and equipment needs.
- Monitor inventory levels of instruments, implants, and supplies.
