Status : Full Time Regular Non-Exempt; 6 : 00 a.m. - 2 : 30 p.m. Monday - Friday and / or hours required for production and repair

Summary of Position :

The successful Assistant Facility Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for working with the Facility Maintenance Mechanic to ensure proper equipment servicing and setup, supporting the production staff in line setups, repairing building and facilities, and other relevant matters that may involve this scope of responsibility. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have some experience and be a quick learner. It will allow the right candidate to show their value quickly and become a highly valued member of the team.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assists with performing minor and major repair of building and equipment.
• Performs various preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
• Assist with calibrating and repairing pneumatic systems and hydraulics.
• Helps to complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and assists with maintenance of records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• May repair electrical locks and control panels to maintain building security.
• May install computer cable.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Assists with the renovation / remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
• Assists with maintaining records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required.
• May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
