FULL-TIME MAINTENANCE MECHANIC position available with the Public Housing Authority of Butte.  Position is responsible for carrying out general maintenance activities of all housing authority properties.  Responsibilities include the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems and the rehabilitation of vacated apartments.  Requires experience in plumbing, electrical systems, mechanical systems, carpentry, painting, and groundskeeping, to include snow removal and lawn maintenance.  A low-pressure boiler’s license is preferred. Time will be allowed to obtain a boiler’s license if needed.  A valid driver's license and good driving record is required.  This position will be on call for emergency work orders in the evenings and weekends on a rotating basis. Teh work week consists of 4 ten hour days.  The position will be part of the Laborers’ Union with full-time union benefits.
