Pay : $25hr
Shift :
1st Shift 6 : 00 am - 2 : 00 pm Monday - Friday; Overtime scheduled as needed
Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is seeking a skilled Automatic Press Operator to join our team. Automatic Press Operators are responsible for operating automatic stamping presses to produce metal parts and components according to specifications. This role involves setting up, monitoring, and maintaining press equipment to ensure smooth production, high-quality output, and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated machinery, a strong eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on time to minimize production downtime.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, addressing critical equipment issues and making necessary repairs.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Maintain and repair plant systems, including electrical panels, lighting, and other facility-related infrastructure.
- Perform inspections on equipment and machinery, identifying any potential issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory for tracking purposes.
- Collaborate with production teams to prioritize maintenance schedules, balancing operational needs with equipment uptime.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment, including lockout / tagout and other hazard mitigation protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and that the maintenance shop is kept tidy.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, providing feedback on ways to enhance the maintenance processes and equipment performance.
- Assist in training and mentoring new maintenance team members.
