Title : Management Analyst - Environmental Analyst

Location : Sacramento, CA

Work Type : Full-Time, On-Site (M-F : standard business hours)

Salary : $80k annually, plus comprehensive benefits Job Description : Under limited direction, the role includes planning, preparing, and developing environmental analyses, studies, and reports to comply with state and federal requirements. This involves complex assignments related to housing and community development projects and adhering to regulations such as CEQA, NEPA, HUD, and brownfield remediation. Key Responsibilities :

Agency Management :

  • Implement agency-wide objectives and cross-department projects.
  • Support long-range strategic planning and budgeting.
  • Maintain a holistic organizational perspective.
  • Model the Agency's service orientation.
  • Engage in cross-department communication and review.

Program Management :

  • Review and ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Support legal counsel on environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate environmental review records.
  • Present to community groups and governing boards.
  • Provide staff training on environmental issues.
  • Direct brownfield remediation projects.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.
  • Data Collection, Synthesis, and Analysis :

  • Prepare a variety of environmental compliance reports and documents.
  • Determine data collection methods.
  • Conduct necessary environmental consultations.
  • Oversee contamination investigations and remediation.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies on environmental documentation.
  • Environmental and Data Management :

  • Direct and review environmental consultant tasks.
  • Identify and manage grant opportunities for environmental projects.
  • Study and implement relevant regulations and policies.
  • Develop data management and documentation systems.
  • Establish an on-call list of environmental consultants.
  • Authorize contracts and manage project schedules and budgets.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with various internal and external agencies.
  • Customer Service :

  • Lead citizen participation processes.
  • Respond to inquiries and communicate with agencies regarding environmental matters.
  • Prepare and present project updates and public notices.
  • Market Agency programs.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental studies, biology, environmental engineering, earth sciences, city and regional planning, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in Environmental Analysis, including conducting studies, assessments, and impact analysis.
  • Preferred : Experience with housing and community planning projects.
