Management engineer Jobs in Renton, WA

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Engineer – Order Management Systems to steer the strategic vision and technical design of a new, global OMS platform. This role will help design, develop, and implement a highly scalable and resilient cloud based custom OMS platform, and provide hands-on technical leadership to product engineering teams charged with this unique opportunity.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and execute a strategic platform vision for the global OMS and related omnichannel experiences in alignment with organizational goals
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, provide technical guidance, share best practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth to strengthen the technical expertise and know-how of our engineering and product community
• Gain and maintain a working understanding of the business and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and other engineering teams, to drive the implementation of scalable and reliable solutions
• Design, code, deploy, and support high-performance software
• Provide support in developing new product lines and upgrading existing products
• Conduct in-depth technical analysis of OMS systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, security, and user experience
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure the smooth deployment and operation of services and systems in a highly available and scalable production environment
• Work with the product engineering teams to design prototypes to validate application functionality
• Participate in design, code and test plan reviews as needed and provide appropriate recommendations
• Review code on a regular basis across all teams in the domain
• Develop best practices to ensure software functionality, usability, reliability and availability
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in software patterns and practices, architecture, and risk identification techniques, and apply them to drive innovation and excellence in our solutions
• Assist in development of design documents, white papers, training documents and software architectural documents
• Lead workshop sessions
• Attract, retain, develop, and motivate top technology talent
• Develop “best-in-class” engineering for services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, reusable, secure, reliable, diagnosable, and actively monitored

Troubleshoot and optimize automation, reliability, and monitoring for delivered products

Key Qualifications and Skills :

Experience working in a Product Management environment

Estimated Compensation Range :  $175,000-$220,000 annually plus RSUs. This range represents the estimated low end and high end of the compensation range for this position.
