Job descriptionEducation : Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or related field preferred. Experience : 6+ years in live production or related field; leadership experience preferred. Technical Skills : Proficiency in email, Excel, and production management software. Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams. Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 25 lbs; frequent standing, walking, and manual tasks. Safety & Biosecurity : Must adhere to safety protocols and biosecurity regulations, including required PPE and restrictions on avian contact. Travel : 12-18 trips per year for farm visits and community engagement.
PROMAN Staffing has partnered with our client, a multi-national, protein-focused food company to source and hire a Live Production Manager to join their team in Waverly, NE .
DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY
This role oversees Live Production operations, including company farms and contract growers, ensuring efficiency, cost control, regulatory compliance, and a positive community presence.
Live Production Manager Responsibilities :
- Manage breed mix, feed, and grow out programs to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Oversee health, nutrition, and animal welfare programs while maintaining strong grower relations.
- Coordinate logistics for live haul operations and grower deliveries.
- Supervise maintenance and operation of company vehicles related to Live Production.
- Analyze grower performance and mortality data to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with feed milling teams and other departments to resolve production challenges.
- Lead weekly management meetings to address concerns and foster communication.
- Implement safety protocols and training programs in coordination with Safety Management.
- Engage with the community to maintain a positive company image.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support production goals.
