To protect our water, land, air, and our most vulnerable communities, we organize voters, elect and train candidates, and hold lawmakers accountable for bold policy change.Our vision is to build resilient, healthy, thriving communities, and create a democracy and economy that is just and sustainable for all.RESPONSIBILITIESManage statewide campaign to hold corporate polluters accountable by passing the Affordable Insurance and Climate Recovery Act and other cutting-edge policies in CA Legislature Oversee & execute strategic campaign decisions between Organizing, Policy Advocacy, and Communications teamsCollaborate with Deputy Campaigns Director, Policy Advocacy Director and the organization's leadership to refine strategy and tactics Coordinate communications internally and externallyCollaborate with communications team & contract communications' firm to establish messaging and campaign assets Work with policy advocacy team and contract lobbyists moving the bill through the legislatureIdentify key targets & districts with organizing team and coordinate tactics to earn legislative supportGather information and provide regular updates for the organization's leadership on campaign status Build and lead a broad coalition of support from across California with other Enviro groups, EJ Orgs, Labor, Local Electeds, Businesses, Community Leaders, etc. for the policyIdentify partner organizations & leaders in target legislative district and provide resources to support their capacity on the campaignSet outcomes, devise tactics, and provide regular opportunities for coalition members to engage with and support campaign advocacy Oversee budget and spending for the campaignWork with attorneys and admin team to ensure proper compliance and reporting Help identify additional resources for the campaign Support other EnviroVoters's campaign & organizing priorities when needed Other duties as assigned MUST HAVESTo be successful in this job, you must possess the following qualities and experience : Excellent project management skills including organization, internal communication, and deadline managementExperience managing and making strategic decisions in issue advocacy, electoral, and / or grassroot campaigns Knowledge of California's legislative process and political landscapeStrong collaboration and experience collaborating with consultants and external stakeholders Managed budgets and ideally have fundraising experienceAdministered and unified organization-based coalition effortsStrong, clear, and effective communication Ability to quickly identify challenges and develop innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment Adaptable to change and able to adjust strategies in response to new information or unexpected developments Ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving campaign goals Ability to think outside the box to develop unique and compelling campaign strategies Strong commitment to racial, social, economic justice and equity Strong commitment to solving the climate crisis HOW TO APPLY Apply through our careers portal - in case you need it, here is the link .
