A Day in the Life
The job is for an Equipment Maintenance Technician for the Final Device/Battery Prep/New3 lines. The schedule and hours for this position is Sunday-Tuesday, every other Wednesday, 5:30am-5:30pm.At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Provide hands-on technical support for equipment maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Must have demonstrated maintenance experience with wafer fab, lasers, grinding, material handling, and/or surface mount process equipment.
, and written descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Some descriptions may be verbal.
Run projects, including performing complex tests, interpreting data, developing key reports and providing updates to the broader team.
Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data using established procedures, and perform detailed mathematical calculations.
Look for and make improvements to optimize work processes.
Meet operational attainment of Safety, Quality, and Service goals.
Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations.
Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
