Job Responsibilities
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Manufacturing Manager leads daily plant operations and drives strategies that support company goals, operational excellence, and a strong, collaborative culture. This role oversees production performance, develops leaders, ensures safety and quality compliance, and delivers continuous improvement across all manufacturing functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute operational and business strategies aligned with company objectives
- Promote a positive, high‑performance culture rooted in the company’s mission, vision, and values
- Oversee Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Shipping and Receiving
- Collaborate closely with Customer Service and Procurement
- Support Customer Service and Field Service
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Manage budgets, cost structures, and P&L‑related decisions to meet profitability targets
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements
- Coach and develop department leaders; support hiring and workforce development
- Monitor manufacturing performance and implement corrective actions as needed
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration across departments
- Perform general duties as assigned and assist in other areas as workload requires
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, OR 5+ years of equivalent experience
- 3+ years’ management experience including operations, engineering, and manufacturing
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong problem‑solving mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with P&L management, business analysis, and strategic decision‑making
- Knowledge of tooling, welding, robotics, quality systems, and lean manufacturing
- Working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with SAP preferred
- Experience with inventory management
- Freight management, including domestic and international logistics
