Job Title : Mechanical Engineer - Design for Manufacturing

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong Design for Manufacturing (DFM) experience to join our team in Lubbock, TX. This role will support the Manufacturing Engineering team and collaborate closely with R&D staff to improve processes, design fixtures, and enhance product assembly tools. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, proactive individual contributor with a proven track record in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide design engineering support for manufacturing operations in Lubbock.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to improve fixtures, tools, and assembly processes.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and assist with administrative tasks related to design engineering.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing principles to optimize product designs for efficient production.
• Develop and refine fixture designs to support assembly operations.
• Work onsite to ensure timely communication and effective collaboration with local teams.
• Occasionally travel to another location quarterly for meetings and training; initial 2-week visit to learn products and processes.
• Engage with R&D staff to address design questions and support product development.

Work Environment

The position is based onsite at a manufacturing facility in Lubbock, TX, with occasional travel required to another location for meetings and training. An initial two-week visit to another location will be necessary to learn about products and processes. The role offers a dynamic environment with exposure to world-class processes and equipment. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lubbock, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00 / hr.
