About Our Client
We are a leading metal manufacturing company based in downtown Chicago, seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with existing clients while acquiring new business opportunities in the metal manufacturing industry. This is a dynamic, client-facing role requiring excellent communication, organizational skills, and a passion for providing tailored solutions to meet client needs.
Job Description
- Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
- Business Development : Identify new business opportunities by prospecting potential clients and expanding the company's presence within the metal manufacturing sector.
- Sales & Negotiation : Drive sales growth by presenting product offerings, negotiating pricing, and closing deals in alignment with company goals.
- Project Management : Oversee client projects from initial inquiry to final delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality fulfillment of client orders.
- Product Expertise : Become a subject matter expert in our products and services, advising clients on the best solutions for their unique needs.
- Travel & Client Visits : Travel up to 30% of the time to visit clients, attend trade shows, and manage on-site meetings to ensure the highest level of customer service.
- Reporting & Forecasting : Prepare regular reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market trends. Provide accurate sales forecasts to management.
- Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams, including production, engineering, and logistics, to ensure the successful delivery of products and services to clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of metal manufacturing processes, products, and the supply chain is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
