Summary :
Alabama A&M University (AAMU)'s Forestry, Ecology, and Wildlife Program invites applications, especially from women and underrepresented groups, for the position of Post-Doctoral Scientist of Forest and / or Avian Ecology. This is a 12-month appointment funded through USDA for the collaborate research of USDA Forest Service, Tennessee State University, and AAMU. We seek a candidate committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, and experienced in field research, professional publication, interactions with partners, and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Conducting forest and / or avian ecology research at Bankhead National Forest.
- Supervising graduate and undergraduate students working on the project
- Interacting with partners including federal and state agencies, private land owners, and university faculty and students.
- Developing proposals for continuing or new projects
- Developing and management research database, performing statistically analysis, and develop manuscripts for publications.
