Position Overview

The Western Sugar Cooperative has a challenging opportunity for an Assistant Storekeeper. This position is responsible for all aspects of material inventory management and control for the factory, warehouse and Ag departments. The Assistant Storekeeper reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Essential Functions

Be a safety leader with solid safety behaviors and demonstrated leadership
Chemical inventory and orders
Unload orders from vendor trucks
General Storeroom functions – purchasing, purchase orders, work orders, inventory, min / max levels and consumables
Receive parts and materials into SAP
Stock parts and materials
Other duties as assigned

Skill & Experience Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required

Excellent computer competence (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Good Math skills, with at least a basic understanding of accounting principles

Must be able to handle several priorities at one time

Work well with others – at all levels and in all capacities throughout the organization

Ability to multi-task and perform multiple functions necessary to the smooth operation of the storeroom

Be able to walk, stand, climb stairs / ladders, etc.

Be able to up to lift 50# on occasion

Able to be forklift certified

Solid leadership and influencing skills

Friendly, results oriented, and collaborative
