General Purpose :

Our Marketing Assistant will help us become the most recognizable name in the nonprofit community! This person plays a key role in amplifying our message, supporting campaigns, and creating content.

The ideal candidate is a creative, dynamic, self-starter who is interested in working on a small marketing team and likes to try new ideas while monitoring progress against goals. This position will report to the VP of Marketing & Communications or delegate.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The Marketing Assistant must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provide promotional resources to Clubs & Communities as needed. These include but are not limited to brochures, donor acknowledgment materials (receipt package), displays, videos, and social media resources, emails, web pages, banners, flyers and signs.
• Support storytelling efforts by collecting testimonials, photos, and program highlights.
• Manage and perform updates to the company website.
• Write posts and manage social media accounts.
• Proficiency in creating and designing graphics for social media, marketing collateral, and websites, including experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Track marketing metrics and assist in monthly reporting (social engagement, email open rates, etc.)
• Assist in the development and implementation of the company's brand strategy.
• Support the maintenance and development of internal tools, including : contact directory, and SharePoint sites.

Computer and Equipment Skills :

Requirements

Education and / or Expertise :

Two years communications and / or marketing experience required.

Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities.

Commitment to being a high-performance team player.

Other Skills :

Person will be of flawless integrity

Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Detail oriented.

Highly organized.

Thrive in fast paced environments.

Requirements :

Interest and ability to represent the agency in the public eye.

Ability to have a flexible work schedule which may include occasional evenings or weekend

Applicants must be able to successfully perform the essential physical functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs.

Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities.

Requires ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, squat, pull / push, grasp up to 4-8 hours per day.

The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
