Founded in 1966, Paul Davis is a rapidly growing network of more than 370 independently owned and operated franchises in the United States and Canada. Paul Davis will grow to become over a $2 Billion business in the next 5 years.Position: Business Development Manager
Hours/Week: Full-time, 40+ hoursCompensation: • Strong base salary commensurate with experience plus commission• Bonus opportunities • PTO, sick days and paid holidays• Cell phone and computer provided by company Reports To: Owner Territory: West Hartford, CTSummary:• To increase awareness of the Paul Davis brand• To promote the services of Paul Davis• To build industry relationshipsResponsibilities: • Build strong relationships with current and potential clients through B2B, organized events, and cold calling • Organize and schedule a calendar of consistent Business-To-Business visits • Manage marketing programs found on the Marketing Activity Planner (MAP) • Ensure staff uses the Paul Davis brand correctly in accordance with Brand Standards • Utilize marketing technology software to upload contacts to the CRM, send email campaigns, customize and print marketing collateral, track sales calls, leads, referrals, and notes • Collaborate with the franchisor, read weekly communications, and schedule consistent meetings with the Regional Marketing Manager • Manage social media accounts, post relative content and graphics, monitor all reviews and feedback and reply/ follow-up accordingly • Attend business networking functions to promote the business • Coordinate and manage community and charitable events • Schedule, manage, and present Continuing Education courses• Research local trade shows and coordinate Paul Davis booth set-up • Attend training courses and annual conference seminars as requested • Any other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a needed basisSkills and Knowledge: • Strong verbal and written communications • Strategic thinking and planning• Project management and multitasking capability • Strong organizational skills • Exemplary computer skills, i.e. Internet & Microsoft OfficePersonal Characteristics: • Professional demeanor • Personable, presentable, articulate • Open, cooperative, enthusiastic • Self-directed with exceptional initiativeQualifications: • Three or more years’ direct sales experience• Marketing, Public Relations or Communications degree preferred• Franchise, restoration, construction/home improvement, and/or insurance industry experience ideal
