Your Role

Sans is on a mission to build the next great consumer hardware brand, with a laser focus on products that help people live healthier lives at home. We started with a category-leading air purifier before expanding to a best-in-class countertop water purifier that actually works to eliminate harmful contaminants – and our product roadmap is just getting started.

We’re a small, ambitious team that believes deeply in our ability to create a meaningful consumer brand. We move fast, learn quickly, and consistently outperform much larger competitors.

The Growth Copywriter will own the words across our full customer journey — from the first touchpoint to post-purchase lifecycle. They will write and optimize copy across email, SMS, direct mail, landing pages, site, blog, organic social, and brand video scripts. They will work closely with the growth and brand teams to ensure every message is clear, on-brand, and built to convert. The role reports directly to the Creative Strategist and will collaborate closely with our Lifecycle Manager, Creative Director, eCom director and Head of Growth.

The ideal candidate brings sharp instincts for direct-response copywriting and a genuine curiosity about what makes people click, open, and buy. They should be comfortable writing across a wide range of formats and tones — from a high-converting subject line to a long-form blog post to a punchy video script. They're data-informed, proactive about testing new ideas, and excited to build something meaningful in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lifecycle Marketing - Write and optimize lifecycle copy across email and SMS channels to drive Revenue, including welcome flows, Abandonment flows, revenue focused email campaigns
  • Lifecycle Marketing - Develop A/B test variations for subject lines, CTAs, and body copy to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversion across lifecycle programs
  • Lifecycle - Produce direct mail copy that cuts through, communicates value quickly, and drives response - including mailers, inserts, and promotional pieces
  • Web - Craft compelling web copy for site pages (PDP, PLP, etc.) and landing pages that aligns with brand voice, supports SEO goals, and drives measurable conversion outcomes
  • Web - Partner with the growth and design teams to write landing page copy based on performance data, user insights, and ongoing testing
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the brand's tone, positioning, and audience to ensure consistency and quality across all copy touchpoints
  • Translate performance data and creative insights into new copy hypotheses and content ideas that inform the broader growth strategy
  • Assist in managing copy workflows within project management tools to ensure timely delivery and clear feedback loops
  • Review and provide feedback on copy across the creative team to uphold brand standards and messaging clarity

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience in copywriting, marketing, communications, or a related field
    • 1–3+ years of copywriting experience across multiple channels, including email/SMS, web, and long-form content
    • Demonstrated experience writing lifecycle copy — welcome flows, promotional campaigns, re-engagement sequences, and transactional messaging
    • Familiarity with SEO best practices and how copy supports organic search performance
    • Exposure to email marketing platforms (Klaviyo specifically) and basic performance metrics
    • Experience with scriptwriting for video or brand content is a plus
    • Startup, DTC, or e-commerce copywriting experience or strong interest is a plus
    • Experience writing for direct mail, landing pages, and organic social is a plus
  • Interpersonal:
    • Exceptional writing instincts — a strong command of voice, tone, and messaging across very different formats and audiences
    • Analytical mindset — able to interpret copy performance data and translate it into actionable hypotheses and improvements
    • Scrappy and self-directed — takes ownership of work, moves projects forward independently, and thrives without a heavy brief
    • Strong collaboration skills — able to work cross-functionally with growth, retention, and brand teams while managing multiple workstreams
    • Detail-oriented and organized — able to manage deadlines and maintain copy quality across a high volume of projects
    • Curious and growth-minded — eager to test new formats, learn new channels, and develop their craft in a fast-paced environment

Benefits
