ABOUT THE COMPANY
This is a fast-growing consumer brand in the electric mobility space with a loyal and passionate customer base across major U.S. cities. Since launching with a breakthrough crowdfunding campaign in 2018, the company has built a unique identity rooted in performance, culture, and community. Now under new leadership, the team is entering a new phase of growth—with new products, a revitalized strategy, and renewed focus on creative-led marketing.
The company is lean and hands-on, with a close-knit team that operates from a hybrid office / showroom in Los Angeles. The environment is highly collaborative, and everyone plays a critical role in driving the brand forward.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a hands-on marketing leadership role for someone who can blend brand and performance, creativity and analytics. The Director of Marketing will own the full marketing function—from paid digital campaigns and product launches to social media, community, and brand development.
The ideal candidate is a doer and a builder. They know how to launch physical products, grow brand momentum on a lean budget, and drive results across the customer journey. They will report directly to the CEO and work closely with product and sales leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all areas of marketing, including paid media, social, email, PR, events, partnerships, and creative
Own digital strategy and performance—drive traffic, generate leads, and convert them to sales
Develop go-to-market plans for upcoming product launches in coordination with product and sales
Build brand voice and manage all social media platforms, including posting, community engagement, and comment moderation
Expand grassroots efforts through community engagement, local activations, and earned media
Oversee advertising spend (Meta, Google, etc.) and provide reporting and analytics for ROI and growth
Collaborate with the team to improve CRM strategy and implement email and lifecycle marketing
Be physically present in the LA office to interact with the product, customers, and in-person events
ABOUT YOU
5–10 years of marketing experience with a track record of driving growth for consumer products
Strong background in performance marketing, brand building, and product launches
Skilled in Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO, CRM, and email marketing
Highly creative with a sharp understanding of audience, storytelling, and brand voice
Comfortable working in a small, hands-on team where you'll wear many hats
Outgoing and energized by events, customer interaction, and community engagement
Must be based in Los Angeles and able to work in-office most weekdays
BONUS POINTS
Experience in lifestyle, action sports, small vehicles, or mobility-related brands
Previous work at a company that scaled from early-stage growth to profitability
Familiarity with PR, partnerships, and influencer marketing
Ability to track, analyze, and optimize marketing performance against KPIs
WHY THIS ROLE?
High visibility and ownership within a growing brand
Full control of the marketing roadmap with a real creative runway
Strong product pipeline and passionate customer base
Close, collaborative team that values flexibility, grit, and real impact
Significant equity upside and a path toward senior leadership
