Position Summary
The Sales Counselor works under the direction of the Sales & Marketing Director and is responsible for supporting occupancy growth through lead management, community outreach, tours, follow-up, and relationship-building with prospective residents and families.
This role helps guide families through the senior living decision-making process while ensuring exceptional customer service and consistent follow-through from inquiry to move-in.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, self-motivated, and passionate about helping others.
Responsibilities
Sales & Lead Management
Support occupancy growth and census goals
Respond to inquiries from prospective residents and families
Conduct personalized community tours
Follow up with leads through phone calls, emails, and outreach efforts
Maintain accurate lead documentation and CRM updates
Support deposit and move-in conversion goals
Relationship Building & Customer Experience
Build strong relationships with prospective residents, families, and referral sources
Provide compassionate guidance throughout the decision-making process
Ensure prospective residents and families feel welcomed, informed, and supported
Help maintain a positive and hospitality-focused customer experience
Community Outreach & Marketing Support
Assist with marketing events, networking, and outreach initiatives
Represent the community professionally within the local market
Help promote community programs, services, and events
Support community presentation and “tour ready” standards
Team Collaboration
Partner with the Sales & Marketing Director and leadership team to support occupancy initiatives
Collaborate with operations and clinical teams to ensure smooth move-in transitions
Participate in sales meetings, community events, and training opportunities
Qualifications
Previous sales, customer service, hospitality, leasing, or senior living experience preferred
Assisted living or memory care experience strongly preferred
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset
Excellent organizational and follow-up abilities
Compassionate and customer-focused attitude
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
CRM or lead management experience preferred
