GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Department of Psychology is seeking a tenure track Assistant Professor to serve as a core faculty member in our CACREP-accredited MS and PhD programs in the Division of Counseling and Rehabilitation Science beginning Fall 2026.
The position will involve maintaining an independent research program supported by external funding, mentoring PhD students, teaching graduate courses in the Clinical Counseling MS and Rehabilitation Education Counseling PhD programs, (faculty teach four courses per year, which can be reduced through grant buyout or other external funding opportunities).
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience and interest in working with students and community members of many backgrounds and a commitment to fostering equity and inclusion. Special Schedule Requirements Export Control Statement In compliance with applicable U.S. laws and regulations, Illinois Tech
conducts Restricted Party Screening (RPS) to verify that it may legally
engage in transactions with foreign and domestic persons and entities.
Illinois Tech uses software called Visual Compliance to perform RPS,
which involves a review of government lists to ensure that the university
is not interacting with a person or entity who is on a restricted,
blocked, unverified, sanctioned, or debarred list. Visual Compliance
performs “Dynamic Screening” which continually rescreens all previous
screenings against updated lists. In order for Illinois Tech to conduct
this RPS, please provide the information requested on this form. This

pursuant to Illinois Tech’s Export Compliance Program. Qualifications Education & Experience Candidates must have completed a doctoral degree in a related field.
