Job Summary: The Research Project Manager provides oversight and planning for the development, implementation, and delivery of research project(s). May supervise staff and provide supervisory guidance to external stakeholders assisting with the project.
Additional Department Summary: CYDI supports interdisciplinary research and intervention development to improve youth mental health outcomes. The CERS Lab conducts NIH-funded clinical trials and related behavioral/neuroscience research with children and families. This role supports operational execution, data integrity, compliance readiness, and closeout preparation across active studies.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of project management experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of project management experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Statistical and data analytic skills. Clinical research coordination skills. Strong operational/project management skills (task tracking, timelines, deliverables, risk identification/mitigation). Data operations skills (file organization, version control practices, audit-ready documentation, tracker maintenance). Competence with common research productivity tools and platforms (UA Box or equivalent secure storage, REDCap, Microsoft Excel/Word/Teams; ability to learn lab-specific tools quickly). Familiarity with research compliance expectations (IRB requirements, Good Clinical Practice principles, and sponsor/institution policies) and the ability to implement SOPs accordingly. Ability to supervise/coach student workers and temporary staff in day-to-day task execution (functional supervision).
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent experience in research management, clinical research, psychology, or related field. Prior experience with clinical trial operations and/or data QC processes. Experience with any of the following modalities/workflows: behavioral and survey data pipelines; psychophysiology or EEG/ERP workflows; E-Prime; eye tracking.
