Job Title : Material Handler

Location : Matthews, NC 28105

Pay : $18-$20

Hours : 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM M-F, with weekend overtime potential

Job Summary :

The Material Handler is responsible for efficiently moving, loading, and unloading materials within the plant, ensuring the correct distribution of raw materials and finished products to maintain smooth operations. This role will also assist in the PVC department, fabricating electrical conduit and PVC drain pipe within steel columns. Attention to detail, adherence to safety regulations, and effective communication with team members are essential.

Key Responsibilities :

• Load, unload, and move materials manually or using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of materials to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Supply production lines with necessary materials and remove finished products for storage or shipment.
• Perform quality checks on materials to identify damages, defects, or shortages.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels as required.
• Assist in cycle counting and inventory audits to ensure material accuracy.
• Follow all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Operate machinery and tools in compliance with company policies and manufacturer guidelines.
• Collaborate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams to optimize material flow.
• Fabricate electrical conduit and PVC drain pipe within steel columns according to job specifications.
• Utilize tools such as a tape measure, chop saw, forklift, and welding machine.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Lift between 50 pounds continuously, frequently bend over, and stand for more than six hours.
• May assist with other duties within the plant.
