Materials Manager

Honeywell's ACST team is seeking a Materials Research Manager for our Golden Valley, MN location. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our materials research efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in materials science and engineering, specializing in the development and application of innovative material solutions. This leadership role will involve managing a team of engineers and researchers, driving projects from conception to implementation, and ensuring that practices are aligned with the latest advancements in material technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Manages a high performing team of Materials Scientists, Engineers, and Technicians
• Oversees technical work, ensures team execution of customer-driven milestones and deliverables
• Champions materials related research projects
• Sets employees goals, manages achievement, mentors, conducts performance assessments
• Provides direction into new products, process, standards, or op plans in alignment with business strategies
• Manages and distributes team workload to ensure proper resource alignment
• Ensures short- and long-term resource availability
• Develops team strategy and materials technology roadmap
• Establishes a materials research team support plan across E&I technology platforms
