Summary
As a Senior Field Technician , you will be responsible for in-the-field testing of concrete, soils and other construction materials. You will use a company provided vehicle to travel to job sites in the area to perform routine field testing including compaction testing, sampling and observations of soils, stone and asphalt, utilizing nuclear density gauges and drive tube methods. You will also perform concrete, grout and masonry quality control tests through sampling and visual observation, document and report your findings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all testing equipment used is functioning properly, maintained as required by company and / or manufacturer's policy, and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle
- Ensure that project testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures
- Travel to various job sites in a company-provided vehicle to perform sampling and testing on construction materials, such as concrete, soils and asphalt
- Return samples to the office for testing
- Report data in an accurate, complete, timely, and understandable fashion in accordance with applicable testing procedures
- Operating testing equipment; ensure that all test equipment used is functioning properly and maintained as required by the company and / or manufacturer's policy and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle
- Operate a motor vehicle; maintain company vehicle (schedule oil changes, check fluid levels, inside / outside upkeep)
- Communicate with dispatching and / or field supervisor, advising of current job status and locations as required; cellular phones are to be worn at all times, and calls are to be returned immediately
- Regular attendance is required; technicians must arrive on time for scheduled jobs
- Prepare testing reports using Field Data Collection (FDC) software; ability to write and retrieve emails using Microsoft Outlook
- Must be willing to travel within the state of Georgia, if applicable
- Complete daily time and labor reports in accordance with company policy
- Turn in required paperwork daily
- Regular attendance is required
- Must be flexible to changing schedules and hours to support business needs; overnight and weekends schedules may be necessary to support business needs
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Other duties may be assigned
