Job Description Job Title Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 12-week contract assignment in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Jackson, Mississippi. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing various cardiac procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for circulating cardiac procedures, performing hemodynamic monitoring, and administering moderate sedation. This position requires a strong background in cardiac care and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Key Responsibilities Circulate cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency. Perform comprehensive hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation during procedures. Administer and monitor moderate sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient assessment and care. Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals. Accurately document all patient care activities and procedural details in the electronic medical record (Epic). Respond to emergent situations within the Cath Lab setting. Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of recent Cardiac experience. Proficiency in Moderate Sedation administration and monitoring. Demonstrated experience with Hemodynamic Monitoring. Experience circulating cardiac procedures. Proficiency with Epic EMR system. Preferred Qualifications Scrub experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab. Skills & Competencies Expertise in cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Proficient in advanced cardiac life support protocols. Ability to operate and troubleshoot Cath Lab equipment. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, team-oriented environment. Shift Details Shift Type: AM Shift Duration: 8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) Days Per Week: 5 Contract Length: 12 weeks (September 28, 2026 - December 27, 2026) Call Requirements: Yes, 2 nights per week and 3 weekends out of 8 minimum. Weekend Requirements: Call (Friday-Saturday-Sunday) Holiday Requirements: Yes, as call or work as needed. Licensing Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Mississippi. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
